Nato ad Asmara (Eritrea) nel 1942, si trasferisce a due anni in Italia nella sua terra di origine, il Molise.
Dal 1967 al ‘69 frequenta a Roma il Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia con il maestro Roberto Rossellini. Partecipa ai seminari di Jean-Luc Godard. Nel biennio 1967-1969 ha l’occasione di assistere alle riprese dell’episodio di Federico Fellini nel film “Tre passi nel delirio” e “C’era una volta il West” di Sergio Leone girati nei teatri di Cinecittà. Dal 1996 si dedica alla ricerca nel mondo dell’Arte.
CINEMA E TELEVISIONE
Dal 1969 al 1972 collabora come regista e operatore alla realizzazione del film inchiesta La Fabbrica, sulle lotte operaie a Torino presso il Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
Nel 1969 è aiuto regista – cinema e teatro. Con Francesco Maselli realizza i film Lettera Aperta ad un Giornale della Sera e Roma ‘70.
Del 1972 è il suo primo film da regista e sceneggiatore Tema di Marco interpretato da Carla Gravina e Paolo Graziosi, premiato con il Laceno d’oro al Festival Cinema del Sud di Avellino e con la targa Leone d’Argento alla 33° Mostra di Venezia.
Dal 1972 al 1979 è consulente e copywriter nel settore pubblicitario.
Dal 1979 al 2006 firma numerosi documentari, film inchiesta e film a soggetto per la RAI, prevalentemente di denuncia e su temi sociali, fra cui:

- Viggiù – Microcosmo di Frontiera, film inchiesta – Rai Tre (Educational) – 90 min. Produzione e Regia. Film inchiesto trasmesso in tre puntate su rai Tre. Un ritratto di un paese, Viggiù, ai confini della Svizzera, teatro di una congestionata mobilità frontaliera.
- Padre Part-Time, film – Rai Tre – 90 min. Soggetto, Sceneggiatura, Produzione e Regia, con Valeria D’Obici, Remo Remotti e Sergio Solli
- Figli dentro le mura, film inchiesta – Rai Tre Educational – 120 min. Regia. Film trasmesso in quattro puntate su Rai Tre, un’inchiesta sui bambini che nascono in carcere fino a seguire la loro evoluzione all’esterno e all’interno dei carceri italiani.
Dal 1997 ha iniziato ad affiancare, all’attività televisiva, attenzione all’arte contemporanea, diventando poi la sua principale attività: scopre la grattugia e la trasforma da utensile quotidiano in un segno che ispirerà tutto il suo mondo creativo ed artistico. La grattugia come film della sua vita, come emblema della città degradata.

Born in Asmara (Eritrea) in 1942, at two years he moves with his parents to Italy in his homeland, Molise.
From 1967 to ’69 he attends the Experimental Cinema Centre with director Roberto Rossellini. He takes part in seminars of Jean-Luc Godard. In the two-year period 1967-1969 he had the opportunity to attend the filming of Federico Fellini’s episode in the film “Three steps into delirium” and “Once upon a time in the West” by Sergio Leone filmed in the Cinecittà theatres. Since 1996 he has dedicated himself to research in the world of art.
CINEMA AND TELEVISION
From 1969 to 1972 he works as director and cameraman on the film The Factory, about the workers demonstrations in Turin at the Experimental Cinema Centre.
In 1969 he was assistant director – film and theater. With Francesco Maselli he realizes the movie Open Letter to an evening newspaper and Rome ’70.
In 1972 he realizes his first film as director and screenwriter Marco’s theme, starring Carla Gravina and Paolo Graziosi, awarded with the Gold Laceno at the South Cinema Festival of Avellino and with the Silver Lion plaque at 33rd Venice Festival.
From 1972 to 1979 he was a consultant and copywriter in the advertising industry.
From 1979 to 2006, he signed numerous documentaries, investigative films and feature films for RAI, mainly on social issues, including:

- Children within the walls, films investigation – Educational Rai Tre – 120 min. Direction. Film broadcast in four episodes on Rai Tre, an investigation into children born in prison up to following their evolution outside and inside Italian prisons.
Since 1997, he began to draw attention to contemporary art, that became its main activity: he discovers grater and transforms it from everyday tool in a sign that will inspire all his creative and artistic world. The grater as film of his life, as an emblem of the degraded city.
