L’opera Fermata d’autobus di Massimo Antonelli, artista, scultore, pittore e regista di cinema, in acciaio color rosso, alta 4 m. x 2 x 1,40, riproduce una maxi grattugia, simbolo dell’intera ricerca dell’autore.
Rappresenta l’assoluta e vincente trasfigurazione di un comune oggetto domestico di uso quotidiano, la grattugia, in una continua riflessione ed affermazione di nuovi significati e percorsi.
Questa performance avvia un discorso oltre la città – metafora esibita – oltre le attuali periferie per trovare slancio e poetica efficacia nella “capitale” della Riserva Tevere Farfa, Nazzano. Una Fermata d’autobus virtuale che invita a considerare la “distanza” dell’alienazione urbana anche alla luce del tema prescelto: La detenzione in Italia e nel Mondo.
L’iniziativa/evento rientra nel più ampio progetto Grattugia’n Graffiti di Massimo Antonelli e Claudia Lodolo, che prevede la partecipazione iniziale di diverse città italiane, dove verrà posta, in una piazza centrale, l’istallazione Fermata d’autobus, che ogni volta diviene tavola pitagorica, totem, geografia esistenziale sia per gli artisti che vi si cimenteranno, sia per gli spettatori.
L’interesse consisterà da un lato, nello sviluppare l’intervento artistico, di solito utilizzato su supporti quali muri di periferie abbandonate, zone dismesse e magari dal profondo tasso di emarginazione, quasi a riportarle ad una ricostituente vivacità, non solo estetica ma sociale e politica; dall’altro, nella consapevolezza ben presente nell’artista Antonelli, di realizzare un “doppio artistico”: intervenire sulla Fermata d’autobus – in quanto fermata – e la visione determinata da un gruppo di artisti dai codici espressivi diversi ma riuniti all’autore dalla medesima energia e potenzialità.
Durante l’evento, l’azione pittorica sarà oggetto di riprese video per un DVD e, prima di trasferire l’Istallazione, l’opera compiuta dagli artisti verrà fotografata in previsione della pubblicazione.

The work Bus stop by Massimo Antonelli, artist, sculptor, painter and film director, in red steel, 4 m high. x 2 x 1.40, reproduces a maxi grater, symbol of the author’s entire research.
It represents the absolute and successful transfiguration of a common household object of daily use, the grater, in a continuous reflection and affirmation of new meanings and paths.
This performance starts a discussion beyond the city – a metaphor exhibited – beyond the current suburbs to find momentum and poetic effectiveness in the “capital” of the Tevere Farfa Reserve, Nazzano. A virtual bus stop that invites us to consider the “distance” of urban alienation also in light of the chosen theme: Detention in Italy and around the world.
The initiative/event is part of the broader Grattugia’n Graffiti project by Massimo Antonelli and Claudia Lodolo, which envisages the initial participation of several Italian cities, where the Bus Stop installation will be placed in a central square, which every once becomes a multiplication table, totem, existential geography both for the artists who will try their hand at it and for the spectators.
The interest will consist on the one hand in developing the artistic intervention, usually used on supports such as walls of abandoned suburbs, abandoned areas and perhaps with a profound rate of marginalization, almost as if to bring them back to a restorative liveliness, not only aesthetic but social and politics; on the other, in the awareness clearly present in the artist Antonelli, of creating an “artistic double”: intervening on the bus stop – as a stop – and the vision determined by a group of artists with different expressive codes but united with the author with the same energy and potential.
During the event, the pictorial action will be the subject of video footage for a DVD and, before transferring the Installation, the work completed by the artists will be photographed in anticipation of publication.
